David Collins is one of the founders of Sharp Treatment who became involved in the drug addiction center to keep himself clean from drug dependence and he envisioned that it would become a place that felt like home and would help to narrow the divide between the place of recovery and the real world with its ever-present temptations and challenges. The drug addiction facility of Sharp Treatment offer a thirteen week inpatient/residential program with a 12 step orientation, ongoing treatment and support after the completion of primary treatment, regular individual therapy and daily group therapy. The drug addiction center teaches relaxation techniques, counsels on practical and personal spirituality and holds regular 12 step meetings. The drug addiction center of Sharp Treatment is staffed by professional counselors some of whom are still in recovery and this creates an environment of understanding and acceptance and provides clients with positive role models.

The drug addiction facility is also supervised by an occupational therapist, a clinical psychologist, a consultant psychiatrist and a nursing sister is also located at the Sharp Treatment facility. Sharp Treatment is licensed under the Prevention and Treatment of Drug Dependency Act of 1992. Sharp Treatment offers drug addiction programs which allow people to spend an extended time in a safe, clean and nurturing environment and develop confidence in their sobriety, in their strength to abstain and in their ability to develop healthy relationships. Sharp Treatment's drug addiction center provides primary and a secondary care programs for clients who have already completed a detoxification treatment program.

The option of an eight week evening outpatient program is offered by the drug addiction center of Sharp Treatment to clients who are unable to commit to a thirteen week residential program. The outpatient program of the drug addiction facility closely follows the residential program and includes group therapy, individual therapy, workshops, re-integration sessions and family support sessions. The Sharp Treatment outpatient program is perfect for clients who have completed a primary program but feel in need for additional support to maintain a meaningful recovery.
